What is "A Complex World"?

Current events nationally and abroad can impact each of us in many ways- sometimes immediately and sometimes in the weeks, months, or years down the road. Violence in places where we have often felt the safest to connect with one another and to be ourselves fully, like our communities and campuses, can evoke a range of reactions that include fear, anger, confusion, and sadness.

The staff at the EKU Counseling Center is committed to diversity and inclusion and is here to provide support to all EKU students. If you are struggling with the personal impacts of recent events (national or abroad), the tone of national discussions, or if you are experiencing negative treatment, threats, or other more subtle forms of oppression based on any aspect of your identity, please utilize walk-in services at the EKU Counseling Center. The EKU Counseling Center will remain a safe space for discussions of the impact of these tragedies. We are on the 5th floor of the Whitlock Student Services Building (room #571). You may also reach us by phone at: (859)622-1303. See Getting Started with Counseling Services  for office hours and how to begin services.
